A great week-end on the Colli Euganei Hills with a stroll in the wine yards, the fields filled with daisies and among the secular cherry trees with cherries that will be ready to eat in 2-3 weeks.
The weather was sunny and windy, the air smelling of fresh rain and spring, and the view from the hills so relaxing.
The poet Petrarca has lived and felt in love with this part of Italy when in 1364, and the small town of Arquà Petrarca is where he retired and is buried.
This part of Italy is not well know to most international tourist, but has nothing to envy to Tuscany hills.
